Fantastic, Vibrant Shatter Patterns and Glitchy Collage
I’m not good at talking about art. I really love certain pieces, but to explain why, or what they’re saying, or even knowing what to call them is difficult for me. But it doesn’t matter- I know what I like, and I like these images. They remind me of broken stained glass, or of the codec glitches one sees while watching a badly compressed video.
From Alessandro’s website: “Canova worked exclusively with silence, sine waves and white noise as his only sound sources, developing a keen interest in a zen-like sound aesthetic. Influenced by his study on oriental philosophy he aims to create a meditative dimension: a contemplation of the physical nature of sound and its frequencies, rhythm and structures.”
